Guided Tours of the Muesum
During this 20-30 minute program participants will learn about the history of
submarines and the US Submarine Force while being led through the museum’s
exhibits. This free program is offered Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and
Saturdays at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM from May 31st until August 19th.
DATES: Mon, Wed, Thu & Sat May 31 - Aug 19

LOCATION: Tours Begin at the museum docent desk
Learn about some of the science behind how submarines work through
continuous hands-on learning activities and demonstrations presented every
Friday from 10 to 11:30 AM starting June 2nd until August 19th. Topics may
include buoyancy, internal combustion, hydraulics, electricity, magnetism, air
pressure and many more.

Live Streaming Interactions
Talk with the crew of E/V Nautilus during a live interaction with
Bob Ballard’s Ocean Exploration Trust. This 20-minute program
showcases the work being done to map the seafloor and discover
and study a variety of shipwrecks and marine life.

Scavenger Hunts and Self Guided Tours
For individuals or groups that would like to add some fun or enhance their museum visit while still taking things at their own pace the museum offers various scavenger hunts and self guided tours as well as a phone tour. Films Currently Playing at the Museum
Museum Theater: A Century of Silent Service: Part I 45 minute film covers the early history of the Submarine Force
through WWII. Begins at top of each hour.
Mini-Theater: Forty One for Freedom 20 minute film covers the design, construction and purpose of the Navy’s earliest ballistic submarines during the Cold War. Continuous.
